Dear Friends,
Please join us for “A Night Under A Texas Star”, honoring the iconic star emblazoned on the ceiling and throughout our stunning concert hall.
Our “Un-Gala” will take us back to Round Top’s early days when Ima Hogg encouraged our founder, James Dick, to bring classical music to Round Top and Fayette County. Long before Round Top became a premiere antique and design destination, Festival Hill was drawing Texas music lovers to this pastoral landscape to enjoy music in a world-class concert hall.
Festival Hill is a gleaming jewel in the crown of Texas.
The funds from this benefit gala will allow Festival Hill to continue bringing talented young musicians to the Round Top Music Festival and keep this Star of Texas shining. Conserving a renowned concert hall and elite music institute takes vast resources and this event is crucial to sustain Round Top Festival Institute. We hope to gather music lovers from all over Texas to celebrate and support Festival Hill, and we want you with us!
James Dick and Round Top Festival Institute are the stuff of Texas legend and to show their support, our Texas Stars Lyle Lovett and Ray Benson have agreed to add their names as Honorary Co-Chairs. We are truly blessed that Round Top, Texas is home to such a resource that enables us to enjoy world-renowned music and musicians. We hope you will join us for this important celebration.
Thank you for your steadfast support of Round Top Festival Institute and we look forward to hearing from you.
Warmest Regards,
Reenie Collins and Linda Plant, Gala Co-Chairs Lyle Lovett and Ray Benson, Honorary Gala Co-Chairs

“Concert pianist James Dick established Round Top Festival Institute in 1971. The Institute began building this beautiful 1,000-seat concert hall in 1981 and finished in 2005. A local builder, Larry Birkelbach, built it with the help of area craftsmen like Arnold Prasifka. We had an amazing day in Round Top. Thanks to everyone with Round Top Festival Institute for taking care of the Acoustic Group, our production crew, and me. Thank you all for being an incredible audience.”
